At Crookes & Jenkins Dental, we have partnered with TerraCycle to help create a sustainable world for the future.
Just like we need to take good care of our teeth and gums, we need to take care of the planet. Because of this, we are attempting to do our bit here at Crookes & Jenkins Dental by partnering up with TerraCycle.
How does Terracycle work?
TerraCycle is an organisation created with the goal of creating zero waste solutions and reducing the amount of waste. TerraCycle reuses, upcycles and recycles waste instead of incinerating it or putting it into landfill. This therefore moves waste from a linear system to a circular one, where the same materials continue cycling in our economy.
TerraCycle also has a non-profit foundation, the TerraCycle Global Foundation, which aims to address the waste crises of emerging countries across the world, such as Thailand and India.
Our aim to make a difference in the world
At Crookes & Jenkins Dental in Rosalie, Brisbane, we encourage our patients to come into our practice to recycle their old toothbrushes as well as empty toothpaste and floss packaging, instead of just simply throwing it out and letting it go to landfill.
With COVID-19 restrictions easing, we are now accepting drop offs in our Rosalie dental practice! If you are looking to take part, you can drop off your old dental care products in the TerraCycle Zero Waste Box which is in our reception area.
